Is fax still accepted at Cohere Health?

Cohere Health confirms on its own provider resources page: "Can we submit prior authorizations by fax? ... We strongly recommend that you use our portal... However, we can accept submissions by fax, phone, or email if the portal is not an option." Cohere goes further than most in this cluster in actively discouraging fax, its own Learning Center runs an article titled "Are you still faxing your authorizations?" that pushes providers toward the portal. Fax numbers are payer-specific, found only within Cohere's Fax Forms and Resources page behind each payer's own form.

What replaced fax at Cohere Health?

Cohere's own provider portal (login.coherehealth.com) is the stated preferred channel, and Cohere actively campaigns against fax through its own content. Fax is a fallback, not discontinued, but genuinely the last-choice option here.

Which route should I use?

1. Use Cohere's provider portal first, that's what Cohere itself is asking for.
2. If the portal genuinely isn't an option, find the specific payer's fax form on Cohere's Fax Forms and Resources page, there is no blanket Cohere fax number.
3. Don't assume a fax number confirmed for one payer works for another, Cohere's routing is payer-specific.
