How do I install the Print-to-Fax driver?
Download the installer for your platform (Windows or macOS) and run it. "Send as Fax (Fax.Plus)" will appear in your system printer list immediately. You'll be prompted to sign in to your Fax.Plus account once via your browser to complete setup.
Do I need a Fax.Plus account to use Print-to-Fax?
Yes. Print-to-Fax is a feature of Fax.Plus. You'll need an active Fax.Plus account to authenticate and send faxes. New to Fax.Plus? You can create an account and select a plan that fits your usage during first-time setup.
What file types are supported?
Print-to-Fax works with any file your application can print which covers virtually every document format. The driver automatically converts your document to PDF before sending through Fax.Plus. You don't need to manually convert or prepare your file.
Is Print-to-Fax HIPAA compliant?
Fax.Plus is HIPAA-compliant, and Print-to-Fax maintains that standard. Documents are converted in-place without ever being saved as a local downloaded file, reducing data exposure. For enterprise or healthcare deployment needs, contact our sales team to discuss a Business Associate Agreement (BAA).
Can IT admins deploy this across an organization?
Yes. Print-to-Fax is designed with IT admins in mind. The driver can be deployed via MDM or endpoint management tools. Employees authenticate individually with their own Fax.Plus credentials. Contact our corporate solutions team for bulk deployment guidance.
How long does authentication last?
After the initial OAuth sign-in, your session lasts up to 2 years. Users won't need to re-authenticate regularly, making the experience seamless for daily use while maintaining security standards.
